Waving light across the world in memory of little angels

The Vishaal Foundation is just one of the many causes close to the hearts of the team at E.Sargeant & Son Funeral Directors in Slough.

The charity is an invaluable network for families, offering support to those who have sadly experienced the loss of a child, and the team at E. Sargeant & Son do everything they can to help.

To remember those children who have died, the Vishaal Foundation holds various memorial events across the year.

On 15 October, Pregnancy and Child Loss Remembrance Day, an International Wave of Light Service was held, which Mark Clements, Area Development Manager at E.Sargeant and Son, helped to promote with charity founder Madhu Bedi.

Mark and Madhu were both invited to be interviewed for BBC Radio Berkshire by Ann Diamond, who herself lost a child.

Mark said: “It was a real honour to talk with Ann about this poignant event whereby candles are lit world-wide to remember little angels who have lost their lives across the globe.”

The evening Wave of Light event took place by the lake in Herschel Park, Slough. Mark said: “It was extremely moving to see over 70 people gathered together with their candles lit.

“It really brought to mind the reality that so many young children die before they have had a chance to live and how important the Vishaal Foundation is as a support system for their loved ones.

“We hope that our work with the Foundation has helped to guide people who need support to Madhu and her team.”
