On a visit to local care home Sunrise Senior Living Jill Holmes, Funeral Arranger at Roy Quinton in Tettenhall Wood, found herself walking 100 laps around the grounds, joining residents and carers, to help raise £180 for Parkinson’s UK.
Following a pre-arranged meeting with Sunrise’s Director of Community Relations to discuss training and event support, Jill then spent a couple of hours walking around the grounds of the home with residents, carers and even Bella the cockapoo who lives at the home.
Jill said: “It was a beautiful sunny spring afternoon and it was a pleasure to join the lovely people at Sunrise in this event and help them fundraise.
“Our reward on completing was to sit and chat while enjoying a coffee and piece of homemade cake.”
