Across the country our branches have been helping those who are less fortunate by holding collections for items such as clothes, food and toiletries.
Kim Skerrett, Funeral Arranger at Henry Ison & Sons Funeral Directors on Allesley Road in Coventry, has been supporting the Coventry Winter Night Shelter for a few years and has seen firsthand what an amazing service they provide in the city.

She said: “Without this night shelter many homeless people in Coventry would die from cold over the winter months. It makes such a massive difference to be able to provide warm clothes, hot meals and somewhere warm and safe to stay for people who are so extremely vulnerable.

“When we were asked if we would like to support a charity over Christmas I just thought that the least we could do would be a drop off point for people who wanted to make donations.”

Branches in the West Midlands including Huntleys Funeral Service in Redditch, Roy Quinton Funeral Directors in Walsall, Tettenhall Wood, and Bushbury, plus Burgess & Harper Funeral Directors in Wolverhampton are collecting donated food items across the 12 week Christmas countdown giving it all to local food banks.
