Sadly, one in four pregnancies in the UK end in miscarriage and 17 babies die a day due to stillbirth or neo-natal loss, according to Little Angel Wings, a charity set up to offer support to those dealing with the death of a child.

Little Angel Wings is one of the local causes, which the team at Chris White Funeral Directors in Wilton hold dear to their hearts.

Funeral Director Becky Perry said: “We were made aware of the charity by two of our clients, Sue and Charlene Small, who between them have sadly experienced the lost of nine babies.”

Sue and Charlene received incredible support from Little Angel Wings and were made aware of the CuddleCot system, which helps with the problems faced when maintaining a baby’s condition whilst in the chapel of rest.

Becky said: “Sue and Charlene raised money so that we could have a CuddleCot in our branch to allow grieving families to spend every precious moment with their baby.

“The CuddleCot has significantly helped many families in the area so we held various coffee mornings to raise £240 for Little Angel Wings, which has gone towards a second CuddleCot for branch.”

Chris White Funeral Directors has two branches in Wilton and Salisbury, for more information on the funeral services offered visit www.chriswhitefunerals.co.uk or call 01722 744 691.
