Flower power in Maidstone for Mother’s DayOur Doves branch in Maidstone brought a whole new meaning to flower power after donating handfuls of posies to mums in the congregation of our local church on Mothering Sunday.
Our Funeral Service Operatives Dean Jarvis and Karl Fletcher, along with Funeral Arranger Administrator Mary Anne Hughes, set to work creating beautiful posies of daffodils and chrysanthemums, supplied by our regular florist West Malling Flowers.
Around 70 posies were delivered by Funeral Director Karon Weller to St Martin’s Church, where they were gratefully received by the Rev Joyce Addison and the congregation. We received a card and chocolates as a thank you.
Mary Anne and Dean also took 30 posies to the local Betsy Clara nursing home where they were surprised but very pleased to receive them.
She said: “It was really lovely to see everyone’s reaction as it’s very important to us that we give something back to our local community.”
