Blooming lovely in Hereford

Abbotsfield Funeral Directors brought a smile to families across Hereford on Mother’s Day, by donating beautiful flowers to the local hospital and nursing homes.

Funeral Arranger Administrator Jacqui Williams took an armful of red roses, with a tasty chocolate treat attached, to give to youngsters in the children’s ward at Hereford Hospital. It meant the children could give their mums a treat on Mother’s Day.

Said Jacqui: “We also gave an accompanying blank card for the children and their fathers/carers to write in, just in case nobody had had the chance to buy anything with a child in hospital.

She also took bunches of daffodils to three local nursing homes – Credenhill Court, Hampton House and The Rose Garden – for everyone to enjoy.

“We take flowers around every year and it always gives me a great sense of satisfaction, seeing the happiness and delight on people’s faces. It reminds them that people really do care.

“It’s really important to us at Abbotsfield Funeral Directors that we give something back, whenever we can, to the local communities that we serve.”
