Remembering the fallen

Huntleys Funeral Services have decorated their windows in support of the Royal British Legion and to honour both fallen and serving members of the Armed Forces community. The team have made knitted poppies which are available to anyone wishing to make a donation to the Poppy Appeal.

Pumpkin Patch

The team from Diamond & Son in Lymington created a harvest themed display outside the branch and invite local families to visit for sweets and a pumpkin.

We have asked local people to also donate food to help new forest basics bank.

Gillman Funeral Service in Norbury have decorated their windows in support of the Royal British Legion and to honour both fallen and serving members of the Armed Forces community.

Sponsored Walk

On 9th October Funeral Director Victoria Fallon and Funeral Arranger Shannon McCormack participated in a 5k walk around Castle Bromwich to raise money for St Clément’s Church.

On an unseasonably warm October day the ladies stopped off for some much-needed refreshments halfway at the ‘Crafty Cow’.

The turnout was around 20-25 people including young children, some even dressed up for the occasion!

After the walk Victoria and Shannon enjoyed a hearty bowl of soup with bread in the church and discussed other ways, they would be able to offer support to the church in the future.

As a team William H. Painter contributed £55.00 which was gift-aided towards the overall amount of £604.00 in total.

J H Way in Dawlish were amongst many local businesses who got behind a scavenger hut for local children.

Christmas comes early

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas at Melia Powell in Keighley. This eye-catching display is calling on the local community to support a local charity who collect and donate pyjamas to children in hospital.  To find out more please contact Rachel or Carla.

On Sunday 31st October 2021 Sterry Folkestone Nicky Stanton from Folkestone and Kelsey Mabbs from Hythe respectively joined the people of All Souls Church in Cheriton along with former clients to remember loved ones.

Sterry Funeral Services in Folkestone also dedicated their November window display to remembering the fallen.

Hospice Woodland Walk

Funeral Arrangers Louise and Della completed the 5-mile Woodland Walk for Woking & Sam Beare Hospice on Sunday 17th October.

The Hospice Woodland Walk was set against the beautiful backdrop of wooded and wetland areas that took Louise and Della from McLaren Park, across Fairoaks Airport, to Heather farm and onto Horsell Common.
