Funeral Arrangers Lindsay and Debbie arrangers contributed towards Easter eggs and daffodils to give out to families and passers-by as s small random act of Easter kindness.

Lindsay said: “We have had people take pictures of their children in front of the window, which is nice, it seems to have had a lot of attention.”

Charitable donation supports local palliative care unit

Mulhollands of Carrickfergus made a donation to NHSCT Palliative Care Service, the Macmillan Unit at Antrim Area Hospital which will go towards making comfort packs of essential items for patients and families in need.

To date, over the last couple of years, around 1000 comfort packs have been distributed to wards in Antrim, Causeway and Community Hospitals across the Trust.

Easter egg donation to local children’s hospice

A donation of Easter eggs was made to Acorns Children’s Hospice in Walsall.  Thank you to everyone who contributed to this wonderful cause.

Dying Matters

On Thursday 5th May Sally Roberts attended a tea, cakes, and advice session organised by a local Solicitor for the local community, to answer questions. 

The event stared with talks at 1pm where everyone in attendance were given top three tips for planning ahead with Sally then on hand for 10-minute appointments as one of the resident ‘experts’

Kiltwalk Donation

ML Williams has donated towards the Kiltwalk

The Kiltwalk is a unique way to raise funds for a Scottish Charity, this year this was the Christian Aid Hunger Appeal 100%  of the funds raised are donated to the chosen charity and The Hunter Foundation adds 50%.

All of this money will be directed to the most in need.

Plant a tree for the Queen’s Jubilee

The team from Doves Funeral Directors in Orpington donated two trees for the children at Perry Hall Primary School for the children to plant in honour of The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.

Perry Hall is an Eco School and in July 2019 we achieved the Green Flag award in recognition of our hard work towards becoming a sustainable, eco-friendly community .

Funeral Arranger & Administrator Clair Eames said: “I felt that it would be something that was in keeping with their pride and efforts towards teaching the children about being eco-friendly, green and sustainable.”

Mental Health Awareness Week

The window at Doves in Bromley was transformed for Mental Health Awareness Week 9-15 May 2022.

The window included top tips and promoted general mental health awareness to the local community.
