Slough branch sponsors Great Get Together

The Slough branch of E Sargeant & Son sponsored the Father’s Day concert held at St. Mary’s Church, Slough, on Sunday 18 June, which formed part of the nationwide ‘Great Get Together’ to celebrate the life of Jo Cox, MP.

The Harrow Apollo Male Choir Ensemble performed for the guests, which was followed by a traditional English afternoon tea.

Area Development Manager, Mark Clements, said: “Sponsoring the concert meant that we got to work closely with the choir, the Church and local clergy who were all extremely pleased at how the concert went.

“It was great to be able to meet the Mayor of Slough and chat to people from the local community who attended the evening.

“As it was Father’s Day, we also provided goody bags for male residents of Oxford House Nursing Home, which were very well received.”

The collection at the end of the concert raised an impressive £350, which will be given to Crossroads Care in Slough – a local charity that provides respite carers.
