Serving up a treat

Dedicated Funeral Arranger Donna Forrester attended Ponders End Methodist Church during her annual leave on the 26th June to help out at their annual get together which is attended by local parishioners and members of the Royal British Legion.

Donna purchased all the ingredients before taking everything to the church kitchen where she prepared the sandwiches.  The buffet included a cream tea with scones ,clotted cream, jam and fresh strawberries which Donna helped serve along with some of the church wardens.

This event was a first for Donna who found out about it whilst organising the floral tributes for the churches 100th anniversary on 16th June.

Donna said: “There were about 30 attendees and we all had a lovely day in the sunshine drinking tea and eating sandwiches and scones and the attendees said that it was a wonderful afternoon.”
