On Sunday 11 Nov 2013, up to 1,000 Eastleigh townsfolk joined veterans, servicemen and cadets to pay homage to the fallen of two world wars. After the ceremony, a parade lined up for a march past the Point led by the ‘Spitfires’ – the 14th Eastleigh Scout and Guide band.
In thanks for her support of the Poppy Appeal, the Royal British Legion asked Sonia Blandford of Paul Capper Funeral Directors to place a wreath on their behalf. Sonia also marched with Richard Van Nes, Paul Capper, Jan Dodd, Andy Lavin and James Atwill during Eastleigh’s Remembrance Sunday parade.
The parade was preceded by a motorcycle cavalcade by the ‘Royal British Legion riders’.
