Dawe Brothers Funeral Directors in Ledbury provided Ledbury Primary School with 60 poppy templates for the children to decorate.
On 10th November the poppies were judged by the Mayor of Ledbury who selected Rory Barry as the winner and Izzy Drew as the runner up. Rory received an art set and sketch pad and Izzy was given a box of chocolates. An apple tree was also donated to the school as a thank you for taking part.
Funeral Arranger Justin Hydes said: “Remembrance Day is so important and we wanted to help children to understand why it is marked, especially drawing attendtion to the work of the Royal British Legion and their ongoing support for servicemen and their families.”
