Nurturing a mother’s memory

Our Funeral Arranger Sarah McCabe has been celebrating Mother’s Day and remembering those who are no longer with us.

Sarah created a Mother’s Day window display where people could write memories of their mothers on heart shaped tags and hang them on the memorial tree in the window.

She also made 100 little bags, filled with forget-me-not seed hearts, which residents could come in to collect and plant in memory of their wonderful mums.

Sarah said: “Everyone who came in to collect their seeds said what a lovely idea this was; it is great to be able to give people something so small which can mean so much.

“We still have some seed bags to give to Sundridge Court Care Home, which I will be delivering to the residents soon.

“I hope to do something similar next year as I really enjoyed making all of the individual gift bags!”
