Marathon man

Funeral arranger Chris Clark from Thomas Bragg & Sons branch in Shirley laced up his running shoes and ran the Coventry Half Marathon on Sunday 24th March in aid of Marie Curie Hospice in Solihull. Chris completed the 13.1 mile run in a very respectable time of 1 hour 46 minutes and raised a whopping £377.00 for Marie Curie!

Chis said: “I originally set out to run the Coventry Half Marathon last year but due to heavy snowfall the run was cancelled entirely and postponed a whole year! Instead, I ran the Shakespeare Half Marathon in Stratford-upon-Avon in a time of 1 hour, 58 minutes. l am proud to say I raised £220.00  for Pancreatic Cancer Action and £140.00 for Teenage Cancer Trust.”

Marie Curie care for more than 40,000 terminally ill people in the UK a year and the Solihull centre is within the local community of the branch so Chris wanted to give something back.
