Kenilworth Lions Display Celebrating 50 Years

Our branch on Kenilworth High Street created this window display to celebrate the Lions Club reaching half a century since its founding in 1969. The display highlights the various ways the Club has been serving the local community over the past 50 years and includes items from their Furniture Store and posters and other display material illustrating some of their main activities and events every year – the Grand Show in June, the Carol Concert before Christmas, and the Boxing Day Duck Race.

Funeral Arranger Jenny Ireland said: “Kenilworth Lions Club plays a prominent part in Kenilworth life. With many activities and a full social programme, its well known for its much loved charity furniture store where people donate unwanted household items

The club organises events and activities throughout the year to raise funds for both local and international charitable initiatives. Many events also provide an opportunity for other educational, youth, charitable and commercial organisations to get involved in enriching the community life of Kenilworth.”

Kenilworth Lions Club is launching its ‘Dream Scheme 2019’, to celebrate fifty years of charitable work by local Lions since the Club was founded in 1969. This is the first of a number of special initiatives throughout next year to mark this important milestone in the Club’s history.
