It must be fete

On Sunday 3rd September 2017 Heywood held its annual charity fete and Kavanagh & Coates were right in the heart of the action.
The Heywood Charities Fete is an annual event which has taken place in Heywood since at least the 1930’s. It involves a parade through Heywood involving lots of local voluntary groups and organisations. This is followed by a Fete at Queen’s Park with stalls, activities, and entertainment. Profits from the event are given each year in grants to local worthy community organisations
Funeral Director Frank Coates said, “As president of the Heywood Rotary Club I was involved in collecting admission money to the park and Kavanagh & Coates also assisted in helping Sandon House Community Centre (of which my wife is a committee member) in organising a stall selling black puddings and black peas in order to raise fund for Sandon House”.
