Funeral team raise the roof with curry-oke

Move over Madonna and Elvis! Staff from Pinks Funeral Directors and their guests proved they were a dab hand on the microphone at their charity curry-oke night in aid of the Cruse bereavement charity.
The event, held at the Lansdowne Hotel in Croydon, raised around £180 in much-needed funds for the local branch of the charity, which provides free support and counselling on a one-to-one and group basis, as well as information and advice to anyone affected by a death.
Event organiser Karen Rattigan, a Funeral Arranger/Administrator with Pinks, said: “As a volunteer with Cruse for 12 years, I know only too well how important their services are and I’m delighted that our curry-oke night not only raised funds but also highlighted the good work done by so many volunteers.”
