Slough’s E Sargeant & Son was the main sponsor of The Vishaal Foundation stall at the Slough Windsor & Maidenhead Initiative 2017 (SWAM17) event on Saturday 15th July.
The Vishaal Foundation is a charity that helps relieve the suffering and emotional distress of those who have experienced the loss of an infant or child due to miscarriage, neonatal death or other tragic causes and circumstances.
As Slough, Windsor and Maidenhead comprise some of the most diverse communities outside London in terms of ethnicity, wealth, faith and culture, the SWAM17 event was launched this summer across East Berkshire as a way of bringing communities together to strengthen friendships and promote closer co-operation.
Other stalls on the day included Men’s Matters, Meet and Mingle, Domestic Abuse Stops Here, Slough Homeless Our Concern, Scouts and Samaritans.
Area Development Manager Mark Clements said: “The networking opportunities were superb and it was great to meet the Mayor of Slough again. We displayed Life magazine, Choice brochures and talked to those who attended about the support we offer.
“Despite the weather, it really was a great day. We are glad to have supported The Vishaal Foundation and it was fantastic to see the community come together. We hope to attend again next year.”
