Chocolate treats support people in need

Our team was busy over the Easter period collecting Easter eggs and chocolate biscuits to be donated to Woodley Pilot Light Trust.

Members of the local community came in with 26 Easter eggs and a selection of chocolate biscuits which were handed over to the Trust just before the Easter weekend. The team also arranged for the branch to be a local food drop off point.

Woodley Pilot Light Trust is an emergency food store for people in a time of crisis which provides support to the local community in Woodley, Wokingham, Reading and the surrounding area.

Karen Carter Funeral Director said: “For many of us, we expect to get chocolate eggs around this time, but for some people who are in a time of crisis, a chocolate egg is not a necessity.

“To be able to give something back to the community is always incredibly rewarding and we would like to thank our local community for their generous donations.”
