Children win prizes for fantastic Easter display

When Roy Quinton Funeral Directors in Walsall asked children from the local Leamore Primary School to create their Easter window display, they were amazed by the response.
Pupils from Year 4 created a wonderful array of colourful eggs, which dangled from the ceiling, much to the delight of all the passers-by.
The children had been given craft materials by Funeral Director Carol Grice and Funeral Arranger Katie Freeman, with polystyrene eggs which were then transformed using feathers, paint, fuzzy piping and wobbly eyes!
Katie said: “The eggs were all absolutely wonderful and we even had a bumble bee and a bird! It was such a lovely way of bringing our local community together, with so many positive comments from people walking past the window.”
Two children – Jodie and Chanelle – were awarded prizes in school assembly of a craft set and a gift voucher for their fabulous efforts, while all the children were presented with sweets as a thank you for taking part.
