Celebrating the work of carers

E Sargeant & Son in Slough once again supported Slough Carers Week this year, celebrating the work of local carers by contributing a variety of gifts and activities throughout the week.

During the week, which ran Monday 12 June to Friday 16 June, carers from the local community were treated to a boat trip with cream team along the Thames. E Sargeant & Son also provided 70 free gift filled goody bags and offered a £100 discount on prepaid Choice funeral plans.

Carers Week is an annual national campaign to raise awareness of caring, highlight the challenges carers face and recognise the contribution they make to families and communities throughout the UK. The Slough Carers Week is organised by Slough Council for Voluntary Services (CVS) and offers a wide range of events and activities.

Area Development Manager, Mark Clements said: “This is the third year we have been involved with this initiative and we were pleased to be a part of the events again.

“Carers make an amazing contribution every single day and deserve some recognition and respite.

“Each year Carers Week gets bigger and better and we look forward to continuing our supporting in the future.”
