Care home residents enjoy famous faces quiz

Paul Rayner, our Funeral Service Operator, put on a famous faces quiz for residents from Tolson Grange Care Home as part of their open day activities.

Paul created a slide show with 100 famous faces from 1940s onwards to show residents, who would then call out when they recognised a face.

At the end of the quiz a box of chocolates was shared around, which all the residents thoroughly enjoyed.

The care home’s open weekends include activities put on by a variety of local people for residents and their families to enjoy.

Tolson Grange is a residential care home for elderly people, which also specialises in services for older people who have dementia.

Paul said: “It is so important to go into care homes and help the residents change their day to day routines. The quiz was a great success and appeared to jog many of the residents’ memories which was lovely to see.

“I always try to help people where I can and hope to do something similar soon as I really enjoyed seeing them interact with the quiz.”
