Bushbury open day

Bushbury Crematorium, Wolverhampton, recently held an open day and the employees of Roy Quinton and Burgess Harper were invited to attend. Julie Jesse of Roy Quinton, Bushbury, said: “I managed to source a couple of display stands, one to promote our services and one to display pre-plan Perfect Choice literature. I was also lucky enough to secure the delectable Latin funeral singer Paulo Pinto and the talented St Gregory’s Church Marching Band to give performances on the day.

“Visitors were invited to write a personal message to a loved one which was attached to a Memory Balloon for release in the Crematorium Gardens. The Crematorium team hosted organised tours and co-ordinated a panel of ‘experts’ to answer those questions that you have always wanted to ask but never have. Even the local Sea Cadets got involved and happily dished out refreshments to the guests. We were able to donate the proceeds to Compton Hospice, Wolverhampton. To mark the end of a successful day I invited the Crematorium Manager to release the two doves we had supplied. It was an informative but fun day and even though my feet ached for days afterwards it was so worth it!”
