Our Funeral Arranger Amanda Beer has successfully completed a two-day mortuary cosmetics course at the Brewers Lodge hotel in Blackwood, Wales.
Amanda attended the intensive course in June 2017 where she completed both theoretical and practical study which will help her to better support families saying their final goodbye to their loved one.
Over the two days, Amanda was taught how to apply cosmetics both traditionally and through airbrush application as well as a range of other techniques including working on nails and hair.
She said: “I have wanted learn how to do this for a while now so I am really pleased that I was able to fund myself to go on this course. Jason King who runs the course was so helpful and it was a really enjoyable couple of days.
It is amazing how much we all learnt in such a short space of time. I have been using my newly learned skills at the branch and I would recommend the course to anyone.”
